Paths to Happiness is a FREE, three-week, online course that will help you develop mental and emotional skills to live your own unique happiness story.

We invite you to experiment with these strategies and start walking the happiness path that is right for you, whether that means taking a track well worn by others or stepping off onto the path less travelled.

After completing the Paths to Happiness online course, you will have the skills to:

Can I really be happy?

Happiness is a journey; it is not a destination. Studies from the field of positive psychology have shown us that the range of positive emotions that we call happiness depend largely on our mindset and less so on our circumstances. We can’t prevent suffering; bad things will happen to all of us. And we may not always be able to change our external circumstances. But we can always change our mindset, and we can seed our life with more positive emotions that build happiness and strengthen our inner resources so that we have more resilience during the hard times. Yes, we really can learn to be happy.

What do I need?

You will need access to a computer and the internet, along with an email address (for registration and email updates). A printer to print out the worksheets and/or a journal and pen to complete the written exercises are also helpful.

I have never taken an online course before: how does it work?

The Paths to Happiness e-course will begin on 21 January 2019. You will be able to access this course from your Story Pieces account on this date. Lessons will be posted in the online classroom weekly during the three-week course. You can access the lessons at any time that best suits your schedule. In addition, you will have lifetime access to all course materials. You will also receive an ebook of the entire course that you can download and keep forever.
